Starting your day with a creamy, energizing matcha latte is easier than you think! Here’s how to make the perfect one at home using our individually measured 2g matcha tea bags:

Ingredients:

  • 1 individually measured 2g matcha tea bag

  • 60 ml (about ¼ cup) hot water (not boiling, around 80°C/175°F)

  • 150 ml (about ¾ cup) steamed milk (regular or plant-based)

  • 1 teaspoon honey, maple syrup, or sweetener of choice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Matcha:
    Place the 2g matcha tea bag into your favorite mug or bowl. Pour the hot water over it and stir gently to release the vibrant matcha powder.

  2. Whisk It Up:
    Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a handheld milk frother to whisk the matcha and water together. Aim for a smooth, frothy consistency with a rich green color.

  3. Steam Your Milk:
    Heat your milk until it’s warm but not boiling, and then froth it using a milk frother or by shaking it in a jar if you don't have one.

  4. Combine and Sweeten:
    Pour the steamed milk into your whisked matcha. Stir gently to blend. Add honey or your preferred sweetener if desired.

  5. Enjoy:
    Sip slowly and enjoy the calming, energizing start to your day!
